on the Aspen Camp of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing:

In fundraising efforts this year, we have received generous donations and several grants to help move us forward.

The Eisner Foundation again supported the renewal of our insurance and some costs of operations.

The Rocky Mountain Health Foundation generously came through with two grants this year in support of programming and general operating expenses.

A Winter Retreat for Adults took place in February at the Camp that offered beautiful days out snowshoeing on the Camp property.

The Roaring Fork Leadership Program met in our newly beautified Main Lodge on a cold winter February morning. An RFL cohort of local leaders will soon start the re-construction project of the outdoor amphitheater at the Camp. They have successfully raised money for this project.

A first pilot program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing high school aged individuals will take place in May: the first Jobs Skills Training Camp in partnership with the New Mexico School for the Deaf, the Utah School for the Deaf and the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind.

A first grant funded outreach to the local Senior community will take place at the end of May entitled “Adventures in Mountain Art” in partnership with the Town of Snowmass Village, the Aspen Art Museum and the Pitkin County Senior Center.

On the success of the 2021 Families in Nature Camps, two more July Family Camps are being offered this year.

We will continue to be the beneficiary of beverage sales at the Snowmass Thursday Night Concerts this summer.

We are maintaining goals and focus to serve Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, families, youth and adults.

Fall 2022 programs are in the works.

We have a longer-term vision and strategic plan for transforming Aspen Camp into a nationally recognized educational program.
