Job Skill Training Camp

May 5-9, May 12-16 & September 8-12, 2025

Students accompanied by their teachers and transition program staff, learn a variety of job skills related to outdoor recreation, basic construction, facility maintenance, culinary arts and more. Workshops prepare students for how to step into the workforce with greater confidence, personal advocacy while making new friends from neighboring states.
For Deaf & Hard of Hearing High School & Transition-aged students: School Partnerships Only.

Families in Nature Camps

June 20-23, 2025- For Families with Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH) children. Parents, guardians, and caregivers can be hearing or D/HH.
July 11-14, 2025- For Families with hearing children who have Deaf or Hard of Hearing parents (CODA - Children of Deaf Adults)
These camps provide a welcoming and supportive environment where families can connect, learn, and share experiences through nature and community-building activities. Participants will engage in outdoor skill-building, hiking, creative arts, drama, and interactive play, all while fostering meaningful connections with others in a signing-friendly space. Age-appropriate groupings will allow campers to share their life experiences and develop a deeper sense of self.

Past Programs:

Women's* Snowshoe Retreat

January 17-20, 2025

Join us for a unique, women-only* retreat at Aspen Camp, tailored for the signing community. Enjoy the perfect blend of nature, mindfulness practices, and digital detox. This event will feature workshops led by DOVE and includes lodging, meals, snowshoes and poles, with the option for Nordic skiing and plenty of opportunities to connect and build lasting memories.
Cost: $300 (Includes lodging, meals, outdoor gear, and more)
*The Women’s Snowshoe Retreat at Aspen Camp is committed to inclusivity and welcomes signing community members of all backgrounds. Survivors of abuse, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, bilingual/bicultural individuals, those with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQI community are encouraged to attend.
