The Aspen Camp of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing had an exciting weekend over Martin Luther King Weekend, January 13-16th.
The Women’s Snowshoe Retreat was brought back to life this year with seven women participants and two fabulous volunteer leaders who ran a safe and successful weekend at Aspen Camp.
Blessed with a beautiful sunny and warm weather weekend with some dusting of snow overnight on Sunday, there was plenty of snow on the ground in Snowmass so far this winter allowed for terrific conditions for snowshoers, some novice, some outdoor enthusiasts.
All enjoyed making connections with one another, laughing, sharing and connecting with the beauty of the forest and open spaces nearby in its winter splendor. A fully signing community and amazing support from five others from our local community in the kitchen preparing and serving delicious meals made for great interactions for everyone with one another.
We are thrilled to start off 2023 having offered such a quality program.
