For ages 10–17, this exciting winter adventure offers a fully immersive ski and snowboard experience with both Deaf and hearing instructors. Learn new skills, build confidence, and be inspired by presentations from Deaflympics athletes. Your week includes lodging, meals, local transportation, lift tickets, and equipment rentals—plus a relaxing hot springs swim on the final night. It’s the perfect way to enjoy winter sports, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories in the Rockies!

Camp Itinerary

SCHEDULE

February 12th, Thursday- Arrival Day- Please arrives after 2pm

February 13-15th, Friday to Sunday- Breakfast and Dinner at the camp. All day skiing/boarding at Snowmass and/or Buttermilk mountains with SkiCo instructors and Deaf pro athletes. During the evening- social, activities and rest. Final night will soaking at Glenwood Hot Springs Swimming pool. 

February 16th Monday- Departure Day, please prepare to depart by 10am.

PRICE

$1,500 includes 4 nights in cozy cabins, 4 days of meals. Plus ski instructors/mentors, lift tickets, and equipment rentals for 3 days.


Add-ons: Shuttle service to and from Denver or Aspen airports.

Registration Information

Registration

Registration will be completed through CampDoc (Doc Network) — see the link below.
If you registered for Summer 2025, simply log in and register for Winter Camp under your child’s name. You do not need to create a new profile.

Base Price

The base price is $1,500, which includes lodging, meals, ski lift tickets, ski instructors, equipment rentals, and other activity fees.
You can choose to add shuttle transportation based on your preference.

Shuttle Service

Shuttle service is available to and from Denver International Airport (DEN) and Aspen Airport (ASE).

Freebies

Each camper will receive a Winter Camp shirt and swag bag!

Payment

A deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your spot.
The remaining balance can be paid monthly or through a special payment arrangement.
All registration information must be completed before attending the retreat.

🕓 Arrival & Departure

Check-In: between 2:00–5:00 PM on February 12th
Check-Out: between 9:00–11:00 AM on February 16th
Please confirm your travel plans in advance through CampDoc.

🚗 Transportation

Driving to Camp (Drop-Off)

If you plan to drive to camp, please note this on your registration form.
Due to winter road conditions, AWD or 4×4 vehicles are highly recommended.

Vans

All campers and staff will travel together by van to and from the mountains.
We will ski and snowboard primarily at Snowmass and/or Buttermilk Mountains.
Lunch will be provided at the mountain each day.

✈️ Flying In & Out

Campers may fly into Denver International Airport (DEN) or Aspen Airport (ASE).
Please clearly note your child’s arrival and departure airport, flight numbers, and times on the registration form so our staff can coordinate pickup and drop-off.

🛬 Denver International Airport (DEN) – $50 Round Trip

  • Arrival: Please schedule flights to arrive between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the arrival day.
  • Departure: Please schedule return flights to depart after 12:30 PM on the departure day.
  • Pickup: Aspen Camp staff and van will be at the airport starting at 10:00 AM, picking up campers between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Campers will arrive at Aspen Camp in time for dinner.
  • Return: On departure day, the van will leave camp at 8:00 AM, arriving at Denver Airport by approximately 12:00 PM. Please have your flight depart after 1:00 PM.
  • Supervision: Our staff will escort campers from the gate to security and to the designated pickup/drop-off area.
  • Travel Time: The drive between Denver Airport and Aspen Camp takes approximately 4–5 hours each way.

🛬 Aspen Airport (ASE) – $10 Round Trip

  • Arrival: Please schedule flights to arrive between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM on the arrival day.
  • Departure: Please schedule return flights to depart after 10:00 AM on the departure day.
  • Shuttle: Aspen Camp provides round-trip shuttle service between the airport and camp (15-minute drive).
  • Airport Info: Aspen Airport is small and easy to navigate—baggage claim and security typically take 2–4 minutes.
  • Supervision: Our staff will escort campers from the gate to security and to the designated pickup/drop-off area.

🏕️ Lodging

Cabins

Our cabins are rustic and cozy—not luxury accommodations. Each cabin has bunk beds (21 bottom bunks and 21 top bunks).
Bottom bunks are reserved for guests with accessibility needs.
Cabins are assigned into female and male. 

  • Upper cabins: heated by wood stoves. Aspen Camp staff will start the fire and monitoring the fire throughout the night.
  • Lower cabins: heated with electric wall heaters.

👥 Supervision & Activities

Our staff will supervise campers both on and off the mountains.
Campers will be grouped into 3–5 small skill-level groups with instructors and Deaf athletes.
Support staff—including the interpreters, media specialist, nurse, program leader, and executive director—will be stationed at the base or around the mountain as needed.
At camp, counselors sleep in cabins to supervise campers during the evening and overnight hours.

⛷️ Skill Levels

Campers may have no experience or some experience in skiing or snowboarding—all skill levels are welcome!
Instruction will be provided for beginners through advanced learners.

🧒 Eligibility

This camp is open to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students ages 10–17.
ASL is the primary language used at camp.
ASL-voice interpreters will be onsite to ensure accessibility as needed.
Campers do not need to be fluent in ASL to participate.

🧳 Packing List

A detailed packing list will be provided after registration.
Campers should bring warm winter clothing, gloves, snow boots, bedding, towels, toiletries, and personal items. Camper may bring their own skis/snowboard equipments.
Aspen Camp provides all meals, ski gear rentals, and activity equipment.

🩺 Health & Medication Policy

All medications (prescription and over-the-counter) must be listed in your CampDoc Health Form.
Medications will be stored securely at the Nurse Station and administered under staff supervision.

🚨 Emergency & Communication

In case of an emergency, parents or guardians will be contacted immediately.

💰 Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refunds and cancellations follow Aspen Camp’s policy listed in CampDoc.
Deposits are non-refundable unless Aspen Camp cancels the program.

To ensure safety and proper ticketing, all campers must complete the required Challenge Aspen forms included in CampDoc.

Aspen Camp promotes a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
Bullying, harassment, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
Failure to follow behavior guidelines may result in dismissal from the camp without refund.

❄️ Weather & Safety

Safety is our top priority. Aspen Camp staff and Challenge Aspen instructors continuously monitor weather and mountain conditions.
Activities may be modified or rescheduled in case of unsafe weather or emergencies. It is strongly encouraged for you to have travel insurances on the travels arrangements. 

📸 Photo & Media Consent

Photos and videos may be taken during camp for Aspen Camp’s educational, social media, and promotional use.
Families may opt out of media consent during registration if preferred.

📝 Required Forms

Several required forms will be available on CampDoc.
Please note that some forms must be signed by your child’s primary healthcare provider, so plan ahead to allow time for completion.
